How to Fix Crooked Glasses

One lens is higher than the other

If your new glasses come in crooked or you slept with them on. Follow these easy steps to fix your crooked glasses.
New frames can sometimes come in crooked because when the lab fits the lenses in they may strain the frame out a little.

When your glasses are crooked – a common myth is that they will make your prescription worse that’s not true but your glasses can make your eyes less comfortable, give you a headache or even alter your vision temporarily (if you have astigmatism)

If you feel discomfort when you get your new glasses – go to the mirror and have a good look at how the glasses are fitting you.

IF THE LEFT LENS IS HIGHER THAN THE RIGHT LENS:

When the left lens is higher than the right lens, bend the right temple arm down at the hinge or the temple-ends behind your ear.

IF THE RIGHT LENS IS HIGHER THAN THE LEFT LENS:

If, on the other hand, the opposite is true – that is, the right lens is higher than the left lens, bend the left temple arm down at the hinge or the temple-ends behind your ear. Always remember to use small, gentle movements and keep checking by putting the glasses on before adjusting your frames further.
